Exams has been an important part of the education system, which gives teacher an evaluation of student's learning capability and a dynamic check of their progress during the course. However, many people oppose to these, claiming that using only an exam to decide one's ability and knowledge is quite spontaneous and put students under pressure. But for me, exams still plays a crucial part in school and classes.

Firstly, exams and tests require students to review their knowledge and study at home. If they only listen to their teachers in the classroom and don't have to take exams or assessment tests, they wont pay much attention to the lesson and the efforts of teachers went down the drain. Thanks to improvements made with regards to test bias, standardized exams and tests are getting more and more accurate, reflecting well the progress made by the student and giving better comparisons between students. Therefore, students must learn and revise subjects outside the class to get good grades, which results in a much wider and deeper understanding of the knowledge learned.

Secondly, as in future life, especially in this information age, pressure is a constant problem. Exams is a way for young people to face pressure and find a way to get over it. This early practice can also benefit the student by learning to control worry and nervousness in important situations. If a student can't keep calm and do worse than they had expected, it's unlikely that he/she'd perform much better in their future job, which is full of deadlines and stress. In other words, I think exam is a good way to provide students with skills to be ready for future life.

To conclude, we can't deny the benefits of exams and tests. If wisely made and used, they can be a tool to check students' progress, make them study and train their skills to reduce pressure. Therefore, exam's role in our education is still huge and it shouldn't be abolished.

Exam has been playing an important role in our education system, in which gives teacher a way to evaluate the student's learning capability as well as progress during the course. However, many people do not agree, claiming that using exam as the only way to assess one's ability and knowledge is inaccurate. But in my opinion, exam still plays a crucial role in school.

First of all, exam requires students to review what they have studied. If they only listen to their teacher in class and do not have to take exam, they will not pay much attention to the lesson and hence the efforts of teacher went down the drain. On the other hand, standardized exams are getting more accurate, reflecting well the progress made by the student and giving better comparisons between students. Therefore students are demanded to learn and revise subjects in order to get good grades, as a result they learn wider and deeper towards the subjects.

Second, in this information age, pressure is a constant problem. Exam is a way for young people to learn how to face pressure as well as to get over it. This early practice can also benefit student by learning how to control worry and nervousness. If a student cannot keep calm in any circumstances, it is unlikely that he/she will perform well in their future job. In other words, exam is a good way to equip students with skills which they can use in their future life.

To conclude, we cannot deny the benefits of exam. If wisely made and used, it can encourage students to study hard , to be able to face stressful situations, as well as a tool to assess their progress. Therefore, Exams's role in our education system is still important and it should not be abolished.

My comments:

Exams hashave been an important part of the education system

Exam has been / Exams have been .... in this case, "Exams have been" is better.

exams still plays

exams still play/ exams still plays .... keep the plural phrase!

Firstly, exams and tests require students to review their knowledge and study at home .

.... they don't go well together.
First, the examinations require students to keep their knowledge updated making them more involved with studies.

If they only listen to their teachers in the classroom and don't have to take exams or assessment tests, they wont pay much attention to the lesson and the efforts of teachers went down the drain.

... what's the main point here? It is that students do not pay much attention to follow the lesson if they are not required to take up an exam. So give more emphasis on the real reason ;

Students would not pay any serious attention to the lessons in the classroom unless they have to face an examination or any assessment test. It is very unlikely that they acquire sufficient knowledge due to lack of interest, even if the best teachers are employed to teach them.
