Are rich people generally more happy than poor people?

Hi, new to these boards. So I just remembered that I have a 500-700 word essay to write... and it's due for tomorrow at 10 AM. (Counts for about 25%)

I honestly don't know where to start, do any of you have sources or suggestions of arguments I could implement on my text?

I'd just Google search "Wealth and happiness" and use what you find to develop an argument. I'd argue that there's a medium income range that brings the greatest amount of happiness. You'd have to discuss why extreme poverty would make people unhappy, as well as why extreme wealth might not lead to happiness.

I think your topic is very interesing and you can write a great essay with it. First define what is happiness and the fators that contribute to it. In my view it is a mental state and people are differently receptive to these factors. You can use many real life examples in this essay to convince the reader on your argument. Of course there are many rich people who were extremely unhappy and even committed suicidewith depression.

Also there are people who lived with bare minimum, but they were happy and contended. Mahathma Gandhi and Mother Theresa are good examples.

Hi, im new here too. For this topic, I think most religiouses teach mankind the happiness is depend on your soul, spirit and mind. In contrast, In the real world I predict 95% of humanlity wanna be a richer to have more happier than poor even I. (I'd appreciate if someone kindly remark my language mistakes)
