The graph illustrated the information about the percentage of Britain each citizen car during the period from 1971 to 2007. Overall, The one-car household was the most common type from the late 1970's. Households with regular used two cars rose significantly whereas the number of households without car declined rapidly over the period shown.

In 1971, under a half of Britain population without car and nearly 45% of household own one car. It was uncommon for families had two cars and over two cars in Britain, only 8% and 2% respectively.

The biggest change was seen in the proportion of household without car, which decreased significantly during the period shown from under 48% to around 25%. In contrast, the percentage of resident owned two cards experienced an exponential increase to reach over 26% at the end of period. The two-car the families remained stable and the citizen own over two cars slightly grew during the period.
