It can be quite difficult to learn a new language. What do you think are the most difficult aspects of learning a new language? Give reasons and examples to support your response.

Hello, I would like to know if my essay below is adequate to get a good score on the writing section of the toefl ibt test ( the score required is 20/30)... Thank you in advance :D:D

----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- -

Everybody feels curious to discover new cultures and traditions of other countries; therefore he resorts to learn a new language in order to achieve these desires.

Thereby learning a new language led to meet new cultures and people, but even though it seems really interesting it has many difficult aspects.

First of all, learning a new language requires the adaptability with the new rules found in that language and that are not found in the mother language; indeed every language has its own grammar rules that differ to the grammar rules of another language. For example, the French grammar rules differ from the English grammar rules, especially the agreement between the noun and the adjective: when we use a plural noun in French the adjective should be in the plural form by taking an "s" which is not required in English language where a plural noun needs a singular adjective such as "rectangular shapes, red flowers..."

The second difficult aspect of learning a new language is that learning a foreign language necessitates active using of it. People who acquire a new language should practice what they learn; therefore learning a new language in a place where it is not spoken requires hard efforts and study...

For example, a learner of English language cannot prove his skills in English unless if he travels to a company where people speak English which is not always accessible by the learners.

In conclusion, learning a new language is an interesting and profitable thing, but it is also quite difficult because it demands hard efforts... Finally I would like to ask how much the French quote "vouloir c'est pouvoir", which means if anyone is eager to do something he can certainly do it, can be applicable in learning a new language...

First, you need to provide a meaningful topic in the subject field when you open a new thread. It's a forum rule and please be follow it!

therefore he resorts to learn a new language in order to achieve these desires.

.... why he? there can be she's too :D
This is the main reason why people show a great interest in learning new languages.

Thereby learning a new language led to meet new cultures and people, but even though it seems really interesting it has many difficult aspects.

... This is the same idea you already told the reader and therefore this line sounds as a repetition.
Also, you do not properly introduce your topic theme to the reader in the introduction. The purpose of introduction is primarily to introduce your topic. You do not talk about the difficult aspects of learning a new language there.

That's alright... please follow those guidelines in your threads :D

Then i would ask if this introduction is accurate?

Everybody feels curious to discover new cultures and traditions of other countries.Tt herefore he/she resorts to learn a new languages in order to achievefulfill theirthese desires.
Thereby learning a new language ledwould lead to meetexplore new cultures and people, but even though it seems really interesting it has many difficult aspectsis not an easy task .

Well there are several issues with your introduction... First, there are grammar issues. Then other issues like vocabulary, presentation, flow etc. That is alright as you are still a beginner. You can improve a lot if you practice more. Write more essays and post them here for feed backs. You display potential to improve a lot.

I have a problem with posting new essays... I think I should comment on two essays at least before posting a new essay, so what I have to do? If I have that high level in english language, I would not post my essays here and wait for some suggestions ! :(

Yes... you are right. You need to provide meaningful comments to two essays of other people to be eligible to open a new thread for your own. You don;t have to be very proficient in English. Read the contents and give them a meaningful feed back. You have ideas that can be helpful to others. Just write them in your own way and English is certainly not a barrier for this requirment.

The second difficult aspect of learning a new language is that learning a foreign language necessitates active using of it.

.... exactly.... practice is the key to improve fluency.

For example, a learner of English language cannot prove his skills in English unlessif he travels to a company where people speak English which is not always accessible by the learners.

.... I don't get your idea in the second part.... why you specify travelling to a company where people speak English? Sounds confusing to me :(

In conclusion, learning a new language is an interesting and profitable thing beneficial , but it is also quite difficult because it demands hard efforts... Finally I would like to ask how much the French quote "vouloir c'est pouvoir", which means if anyone is eager to do something he can certainly do it, can be applicable in learning a new language

I think you better stop with the previous sentence.
In conclusion, learning a new language is very rewarding. However, it is a tough challenge because it demands lots of hard work and practice.

You have a great essay here with real good points. It's just what I mentioned above that doesn't agree with me.
Good job friend!

mmmm thank you for your opinion it gives me a push forward :D:D
But I have two different opinions :
first I specified when I used to talk about the english language in order to give an example which can clarify the previous idea ( i used "for example" to introduce that...)

then and the most important thing, I finished my essay with a rhetorical question in order to return to the same strategy adopted in the introduction which is making the reader interested... Is not a good thing?

I would like to get many responses for this important question...

Yes george perhaps you are right. Please go through your TOEFL writing descriptors they should help you. In general it's better to go with one opinion doesn't matter on which side. : )
