The internet as a reliable/unreliable source of information

The Internet is known as a widespread source of information, but there is a considerable question: Is the Internet a reliable source or not? Mainly it is. There are some clear reasons. Firstly, most of scientific articles and the news of new achievements are shared by the Internet. Secondly, since the Internet is one of the favorite media to communicate and everyday lots of information are bandied, so people try to share the authentic and up-to-date information to show that they have something in common with others. Finally, if any null content be shared in the Internet, certainly some of the users will comment on it and we will be notified. However, some sites don't consider the authenticity of their contents and this issue decrease the reliability of the internet.
