Honesty vs Telling lies - persuasive essay

Lies, they are never justified. Lying is a sin from my religious belief. Not only lying is a sin but you can lose trust between others. You put shame on yourself. Lying isn't going to get you anywhere, you're just going to end up with a whole bunch of crap that you never wanted in the first place.

Telling the truth is always the best policy. Many people think telling the truth is the worst thing a person can do. They don't want to hurt someone's feelings or they want to protect someone's life in danger. Cough cough Anne Frank. Take the "Do I look fat in this dress?" for an example. You may think that nobody gets hurt when you lie, but the person you lied to gets hurt because you betrayed that person. A lie can easily cause people to do things which hurts others. Blanton says, "Have the courage to be honest, and have a relationship with others based on reality, don't avoid the issues".

Lying can put you in deep situations. Once you lied to people, you have to remember what you said to each person. You would have to keep telling more lies to avoid the truth. In the article, Blanton says that "It keeps you locked in the jail of your own mind".Nobody believes in a liar. Once lying becomes a habit for you, nobody is going to trust in you. Not even your friends or lovers.

Lying doesn't get you anywhere, you'll eventually get caught. Sometimes it might take awhile. Wake up and smell the roses honey! In this world, there are too many ways for people to find out the truth! Doing something that you know is WRONG makes it easier to do more bad things. You will become a bad person who doesn't know how to be good anymore. Take drug addicts as an example, they just "do a little bit" and later they are lying in a gutter without a place to live.

Lying is always wrong. Whether its a big lie or a white lie. Honesty is better than lying all the time, it makes you reliable and respectable to your friends. You must tell the truth. Even though you risk hurting the feelings of others, then you should do it the right way.

If you are about to write a persuasive essay, you should know how to start PERSUASIVELY. To achieve that, there are several introductory techniques - description, exemplification/illustration, definition, analogy, cause and effect- which you can use.

Lies, they are never justified. Lying is a sin from my religious belief. Not only lying is a sin but you can lose trust between others. You put shame on yourself. Lying isn't going to get you anywhere, you're just going to end up with a whole bunch of crap that you never wanted in the first place.

Write the full prompt or the subject you are about to discuss.

Lying is a sin from my religious belief.

This sentence does not have a logic. Also, the "you-attitude" is used in your intro, therefore avoid using the first person point of view. Be consistent. It shows like you are the basis of truth that lying is really a sin ( we all know it is really a sin religiously.) :D

It's not really a prompt. In my class, we have 4 articles that we have discussed. 1st article is about how everyone lies and it's okay

2nd is about how lying is wrong, you should never lie. 3rd is about how you should always tell the truth than always lie all the time. And that's what I'm doing. I have to provide text evidence. And I had to persuade the reader to know why you Gould always tell the truth and that. 4th is about why and how teens lie.

Lies, they are never justified.

Lies can never be justified.

Lying is a sin from my religious belief. Not only lying is a sin but you can lose trust between others.

According to my religion, lying is a sin. Not only it is a sin, but it shatters the trust between people.

Many people think telling the truth is the worst thing a person can do.

I feel this is not a proper generalization. May be some do believe so, but I am sure many don't.

Cough cough Anne Frank

What does this mean? Is it a full sentence?
