The table below shows the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999.

The given table depicts in percentage the difference in a variety of family types living in poverty in Australia during 1999.

The biggest proportion of family type living in poverty was sole parent at 21% (232000). Moreover single people with no children had also an interested number at 19% (359000). The figures dropped for couples with children at 12% representing 933.000 from the whole number of couples with children. Furthermore, the figure for couple with no children was at 7%.moreover, the family type of single aged person had an imperceptible difference with the aged couples. The first type was at 6% and the second at 4%.

It is substantial to refer that all types of households living in poverty illustrated at 11% almost around 1.800.000 people of the whole population.

Overall, to summarize it is important to underline that the biggest proportion of family type living in poverty was sole parents, but also single with no children had also a significant number.
