This essay will be improved if you give some attention to the counter-argument. The counter-argument is that the mall will hurt local businesses, create traffic, etc. Can you spend a paragraph to show how the benefits outweigh the drawbacks?

Good luck!!

Will a shopping center make a neighbourhood better? A shopping center will definitely improve the economic status of the neighbourhood by offering jobs and will also raise the prices on the real estate market. Therefore, I would definitely support its construction.

Through the construction of a mall, my neighbourhood will benefit a lot. The job offers will increase and at the same time the neighbourhood inhabitants' income will grow. For example, a wife will get a part-time job because the children are going to school and she is working near her house. A large shopping center offers a large variety of different jobs , suitable for many professional categories: managers, business owners, sales persons, restaurants, maintenance people, and of course the construction project involves lots of people too. Let's not forget another big advantage: working near by your house saves you gas, time and saves the planet so we can be "green" at the same time.

Neighbourhood Real Estate value is another area where we will see improvement. A neighbourhood with a mall is modern and more secure, offering accessibility and jobs. With all these advantages come opportunities. Hence, the value of the house will rise and the status of the residents will grow too. Now, instead of $100.000 for 2 bedrooms house you will pay $200.000 and some, for example poor people, prefer to sell and move for a cheaper neighbourhood and some with more financial possibilities will take their places. This way the neighbourhood will flourish, and who does not like to live in such a great place?

Constructing a shopping center in a neighbourhood is synonymous with improving and modernizing that area. By increasing the prices of properties and offering jobs, the shopping center will develop a new, modern neighbourhood - one with more opportunities for its population.

This is how I would improve it a bit. I hope it is helpful.

You might want to think about how some of your points might come across to your reader.

For example, a wife will get a part-time job because the children are going to school and she is working near her house.

You assume that the wife doesn't already have a fulfilling career? Or that it isn't the husband who is going to be getting the part time job?

Now, instead of $100.000 for 2 bedrooms house you will pay $200.000 and some, for example poor people, prefer to sell and move for a cheaper neighbourhood and some with more financial possibilities will take their places. This way the neighbourhood will flourish, a

You believe that poor people own houses worth $100,000? And that a great way to improve the neighborhood is to price out people who can only afford homes at that price?

If you do in fact believe these things, then that's fine. Just be aware that your intended audience might not agree with you.

I don't think because it is your neighborhood, you necessarily own own your living space. What if you're renting an apartment, or someone's house or basement.

I think the "price as an obstacle" notion makes a lot of sense here though, if your instructor won't be offended (they shouldn't, if they are competent).

There's a ward in Washington DC that has no sit-in restaurants and just one Giant, which upon construction was hailed as a major event.

Development is synonymous with pop. growth and high rents, as philboy noted.

If you want to take the opposite approach, you might describe how noise and commotion irritate you.
