The bar chart compares the four countries in terms of amount spent
on six consumer goods.

It is clear that British people spent significantly more money than
people in other three countries on all six items. Of the six items, the
most money spent on last photographic film item by customers in
German, Italy, France and Britain countries.

British people spent just over £ 170.000 on Photographic film which is
the highest figure on the chart. By contrast, German spenders spent
just over £ 150.000 on every item. They spent more money on the
first two items than those next four goods.

The figures spending on toys werе the same in both Italy and France
at nearly £ 160.000. However, France spent more money on
photographic film and CDs, Italians were higher spender on personal
stereos and Tennis racquets. Among tennis racquets spenders, France
spent £ 145.000 which is the lowest figure compared with other three
countries.

In my opinion, if the chart doesn't mention the year, you have to use simple present.

lexical resource

I like your writing.
The chart provides information regarding the spending by four European nations; British, French, Italian and German, in pound sterling on six different types of consumer goods: photographic film, toys, CDs , perfumes, tennis rackets and personal stereos

Overall, reaching troughs at tennis racquets and personal stereos, the four European countries have spent the highest money of the customer goods in photographic film and toys. Then the expenses of CDs and perfumes were ranked third and forth.

The bar chart compares the four countries in terms of amount spent on six consumer goods.

The chart does not compare, but you do :D ... Also, you need to improve the presentation of this introductory line;
