The table below shows the number of students living in the UK gaining teacher training qualifications in 2005/6 and 2006/7, and the proportion of male qualifiers.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table provides a breakdown of the number of students living in the UK obtaining teacher training qualifications between 2005/6 and 2006/7, and the percentage of male qualifiers. Overall, what stands out from the table reveals that the proportion of female qualifiers was higher than male. In addition, PGCE was more favorite on both sexes than Bed & other degrees.

According to the table, in 2005/6, there was a significant different proportion between man and woman on gaining teacher training qualifications. In this year, the total proportion of both male and female was 31,930. Female was the highest at 23,865, whereas male only had 25.3% of total percentage which was 8,065.

A more detailed look at the data reveals that the gap between man and woman had widened in obtaining teacher training qualifications in 2006/7. Male fell from 6,980 (2005/6) to 6,485 (2006/7) in PGCE, likewise there was a gradual decrease to 17,415 on female at the same subject. On the other hand, both sexes experienced a slight increase in Bed & other degrees.

Hi,siddiqumar

I found a consistent problem while reading. For each "male", "female", "man" and "woman" i was surprised because i was expecting to see the plural form of the word. I think it's logical to use the plural form or u may write "male teachers" etc. Anyway I think this repeated can worsen the whole reading experience even if the rest of your writing is correct.
