"It would take to much time to build a time machine".
- A response to my 8th grade teachers question of would I build one.

As an alternative i picked up my first camera, a small pink Canon Powershot, and began capturing the best and most unforgettable moments of my life.

Living in the beautiful duty of Asheville, North Carolina, every time I left the door of my home was a chance to capture the most amazing scenery, crazy Asheville culture, and on the winter days snowed in take in the beauty of household objects.

Photography has
My passion for Photography is what makes me the perfect student for F.I.T/Parsons. Someone once told me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and finding through the lens is my path in life.

An image can hold the past by bringing a person back to a certain feeling and the future by presenting them with something they've never imagined. A photograph can capture the good times and the bad, and it can unveil both the ugly and the beautiful of life. A picture does say a millions words, and reveals all. Photographs write the most interesting stories without saying a single word, and yet can have a million different meanings to every individual.

....Using elements like lighting you can bring a person back to a certain feeling they had at a moment and bring them forward by presenting them something they've never seen before, as a photographer I strive to find beauty in the things we take for granted and capture the moments we never want to forget in our own personal time machines.

In April 2012 I left Public school and chose to be homeschooled so I could graduate 1 year early of my class and , while focusing and doubling up on academic classes,

This was one of the biggest changes and self-sacrifices I'd made in my life.
Being the School Socialite and trendsetter, I now had to cope with loneliness and soon fell into a depression, I then realized that with giving up public school I had neglected and given up the one thing that made me happy in life, Photography.

I began photographing the only thing I had, myself. And as people saw my pictures posted to social networking sites, I was immediately asked to do shots and began building cliental in my town by shooting music videos for artist, headshots, senior pictures, and even booked a spread for the local Costume shop to promote the store right before Halloween.

Being a model up until I was 15yrs old. model I have come to know the aspects of working in front and behind the camera, which extended my knowledge of running the photo shoots very smoothly.

My love for the art of photography has taught me that everyday life is full of beauty whether your on the watching the sunset from the National Blue Ridge Parkway or sitting in your room, there is always a story to be told and just like reality it is fueled on hard work, determination, self improvement, and most of all the willingness to learn and I would be honored to continue this journey as a student at FIT./Parsons new school of Design.

Maybe this would sound more clear: Every time I walk out the door of my Asheville, North Carolina home, I have the best photo opportunities. I am able to capture the hectic scenery, the city's culture, snowy winter days.

Someone once told me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and finding through the lens is my path in life.
Maybe the ending of this sentence would sound better like this: "...and I find that beauty through the camera lens."

...and it can unveil both the ugly and the beautiful aspects of life.

Photographs writetell the most interesting stories without saying a single word, and yet they can have a million different meanings to every individual.

This sentence has some good thoughts, but it is too long. I think you should shorten it or split it up into 2 sentences.

Overall good paper! Small grammar errors
but you may need to use bigger/smarter words in some of your paragraphs

Photography as Response and Representation

As an alternative I picked up my first camera. A small pink Canon Powershot became a time machine allowing me to capture the best and most unforgettable moments of my life. Every time I walk out the door of my Asheville, North Carolina home, I'm presented with opportunities and nearly overwhelmed by the possibilities. I am able to capture all that Asheville offers, the steaming energy of an adolescent community, the city's pulsating culture, the serene excitement of snow days.

Photograph moves me due how images are concrete, yet fluid. Some images hold the past by bringing a person back to a certain feeling. While some images offer glimpses of the future by re-presenting what cannot be perceived except by commanding stillness. A moment presented and captured can be represented in a variety of ways. It depends on how it's framed, focused, on the lighting, on the f-stop, the aperture, etc....Using such elements one can bring a person back to a certain feeling they had at a moment and bring them forward by presenting them something they've never seen in themselves or others before. As a photographer I strive to find beauty (truth and holistic beauty) in the things most eyes sweep over and capture human moments that may not seem exceptional, those tend to be the ones we never want to forget.

The act of photography itself is an attempt at control, though only to a certain extent. We all have a choice in how we perceive and react to experiences, photography has asked me to stop, breathe and assess. My time machine inspires me to value the choice we all have to make a conscious decision regarding what I want to sense and how I want to respond. A picture speaks volumes. Photographs tell secrets and stories and yet without utterance or written word one photo can have a million different meanings to every individual.

A photograph can be a response and a representation.

Photography has (Where do you want to go with it? How do you want to change photography or let it change you?)

My passion for Photography is what makes me the perfect student for F.I.T/Parsons. (Everyone says this, plenty of passion enters FIT and fails and finds itself elsewhere...set yourself apart. Describe in detail what you can bring to them. Why they need you and then towards the end detail briefly what you expect out of them and why you know it will get you to where you want to be in life.)

Someone once told me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and finding through the lens is my path in life. (Trite...Stay away from clichĂŠs. Every application will have a basic version of this sentence.)

In April 2012 I left Public school and chose to be home-schooled due to bullying and with the goal to graduate 1 (spell out numbers under 20) year early of my class in March of 2013, while focusing and doubling up on academic classes, I also began volunteering at the local Animal shelter. (Mention any community work, church, clubs, jobs, etc...)

The bullying situation was one of many challenges I've faced and leaving school one of the hardest sacrifices I've made. (Say something inspirational about what you learned, something that makes you seem graceful under pressure. Try to mention that you left because the bullying was effecting you more academically than socially.)

Let me know if these are changes and suggestions you appreciate and I will continue to edit or possibly work with until it's done? When is it due? It's a touching story and your personality shows which is necessary, I only changed a little phrasing and structure. I would like help with a paper of mine after yours is done, your voice and style is similar to mine so I think we can help each other and keep our own personalities in our papers.
