how would you describe yourself as a human being?

I would describe myself as a very persistent person and with a lot of courage to move forward. I have been very strong in life because when i was diagnosed with schizophrenia i knew i have to be very strong to keep forward in life. Despite at first I thought that i was getting crazy and I felt different from other people. Because as you can know this is a very difficult disease where you do not know what is real or unreal and also thinking that someone is chasing you when actually it is unreal. But with the help of my aunt and uncle I could handle this. I could understand that I'm someone important in life and I have learned to trust myself saying ''I know that I have goals and I am going to achieve it regardless if something can intervene it.

For me it was a big change to relocate to another country where there is a language and a culture very different to mine and i felt sad for no being with my mother because she is in Dominican Republic. But that confidence in myself makes me get up and to keep forward because i know one day my mom will be here with me, which is what makes me to have courage to keep forward.

I am very optimistic because every time when I wake up each new day, I think of that great doctor that I will, healing and saving the lives of these sick people. To dream seeing their faces of joy makes me happy.

I think when you have dreams that you want to achieve, we should not regret it but doing everything possible to make that dream a reality.

Although it seems impossible, there is nothing that could impede the fulfilment of a dream or anything that can separate you from the desire of your heart. so I think you can be what you want to be or that dream that you have always dreamed, only you decide!

One day my dear aunt that I love with all my heart told me ''if you have a dream, go and search for it and do not abandon it.'' At first these words seemed stupid for me but now I realize how important it is; the importance to follow your dreams no matter what it costs you.

when I start to study in college, I will put all efforts to get good grades, to concentrate more on my studies and to learn more English. I know i will achieve it!
