Compare/ Contrast: Intellectual vs. Ideological in the new age.

Nobody understands what is happening. Analysis of the current idealogical beliefs in Culture, Religion, and Politics reveals that no one understands what is happening. Having faith in a meme may prove counterproductive. Ideologies confine while rational analysis of genuine data liberates. Nobody is smarter than you, even if they are, what good is a third party perception for more than just a basis of a inquiry? Confining ones self within the walls of ideology stalls progress. First hand experience, with exploration in thought, is the crux in which a paradigm shift exists. It is seen all over the world in every culture. Everyone makes a mistake or misunderstands and then learns from evaluation, this is the foundation of progress.

Nobody is smarter than you. Any subject of analysis is most clearly discerned with direct experience; third party interjections must be authenticated with first hand interaction of the subject of interest. Adopting a strangers ideology is not reliable. While a source from which information is received may be unreliable in the first place, details are commonly lost during an interaction. Ideologies constrain. Go for direct experience and trust ones self. Joseph Roux expresses this thought in saying "Experience comprises illusions lost, rather than wisdom gained." What do you think when you see the moon? What do you think when you watch the news? What do you think when you are frightened?

Confining within the walls of ideology will stall progress. An individual who has never explored a topic and has adopted an artificial belief is ignorantly defeating the advancement of higher level in understanding of the subject matter. What is experienced at this point is an illusion; a delusion of fact. Assumptions are made. At the time that an individual makes a decision influenced by an ideology of indirect conclusion they are susceptible to an unseen agenda. Technology has enabled tools that convey messages, packaged and framed at the source, that project to the destination and produce a desired effect. In order to properly explore and arrive at a reliable assessment the all senses must be engaged and objective-cognitive processing applied.

First hand experience, with exploration in thought, is the crux in which a paradigm shift exists. An article named "What is a Paradigm Shift?" (taketheleap.com) states that, "Agents of change are driving a new paradigm shift today. The signs are all around us. For example, the introduction of the personal computer and the Internet have impacted both personal and business environments, and is a catalyst for a Paradigm Shift. Newspaper publishing has been reshaped into Web sites, blogging, and web feeds. The Internet has enabled or accelerated the creation of new forms of human interactions through instant messaging, Internet forums, and social networking sites. We are shifting from a mechanistic, manufacturing, industrial society to an organic, service based, information centered society, and increases in technology will continue to impact globally. Change is inevitable. It's the only true constant." While the facts change from source to destination, the truth is obfuscated. Thorough analysis and first hand experience is the absolute only way to arrive at a reliable assessment. When a belief is held and found to be false the next proactive step is to reevaluate the context of the misinformation and blow the whistle; rectify truth. Awakening from a delusional state and arriving at a truth with an absolute value is essential to progress at any point in time. In Tomas Kuhn's 1962 book "The Structure of Scientific Revolution" (p.10) Kunh explains that a paradigm shift is "series of peaceful interludes punctuated by intellectually violent revolutions", and in those revolutions "one conceptual world view is replaced by another".

In effect, a paradigm shift is the essence of growth. Breaking a delusional paradigm about the world around us and how things work is a fundamental transition into a virtuous society. Old ideologies are base and unjust in a new age. The Buddha expresses it by saying "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." Progress.

You are an amazing writer! This is so well thought out and set up, that it looks more like a professor wrote it than a student. You have a great way with words and an interesting writing style. Thanks for breaking up my day with something great! Good luck in school and have fun!
