I know it's corny, but be completely honest. If it is trash, then say so or suggest changes.

Why do students go to college?
Other than the obvious reason of most employers wanting you to have further education than high school, why exactly are students going to college? College has always been pushed onto students that plan to make it out in the 'Real World'. Children are told that if they want to be something, then they have to go to college. There is a point growing up that you realize you do want more for yourself than settling for jobs that hire without requiring some further education or even a high school diploma. College isn't just about making it through another four years for another piece of paper. College is about designing who you want to be and where you want to be for the rest of your life. I was told that you can only learn as much as you want to learn, but the connections you make will take you wherever you want. Learning will only work if you want to learn or you might just be a natural born genius, whichever category you 'think' you belong. I know that I am going to college because I want to learn more about my passion and I want to keep learning about my passion. Some students may be like me and other students are focused on getting through college because it is what everyone else is doing. Some students know their strengths and weaknesses some don't. I know that I am not very good when it comes to testing, but I am good at learning the material. College is all about learning where you fit in to the known 'average'. There is a multitude of reasons why students go to college; to make money, because they are told to, to be better than their parents, to be successful. Whatever the reason is hopefully most students go because they love what they are studying and it is 'bae'- Before anything else.

Ciera, was the question you posted before your statement the prompt you are responding to? If it is, please let me offer a piece of advice. Don't waste the word count on your common sense based question at the beginning of the essay. This:

Other than the obvious reason of most employers wanting you to have further education than high school, why exactly are students going to college?

is totally unnecessary to your response. It is also not necessary to restate the question when you obviously are working with a maximum word count. Try to use every word count in a way that matters to your application. Don't use it just to reach the word requirement.

I know that I am not very good when it comes to testing, but I am good at learning the material.
- You seriously do not want to tell the reviewer about any potential weak points. Even if it does seem like it will help your essay. That is never a good idea. Just work on responding to the prompt alone. That statement, doesn't really say why you want to go to college. It does not help the statement go forward.

Aside from those 2 sentences, this an overall good piece of writing. The response is crisp and analytical. Good work !
