Project Management and Business Study Objectives
After carefully considering my aptitude, interests and my ultimate professional ambition, I have decided to pursue a master degree in Management with a specialization in project management and business engineering .More specifically, I am interested in a graduate program that combines theory and practice for an effective and successful management of a business unit and provides methods to develop leadership and management skills.
My interest in business management goes back to the time when I was graduated from California State University San Bernardino, I could encounter an excellent academic experience in addition to the finance coursework, which has given me a firm background of the managerial pricipals. It was an opportunity for me to realize how critical it is to examine management technology in a giving businesses, often regarded as competitive edge , how important it is to approach management problems from different political and economical perspectives and consider issues such as organizational objectives, people and legal implications rather than making decisions based solely on financial factors.
The interest in business management has then grown through my working experiences and I have learnt more and more about the interrelationship between business management and its environment impact. In the course of the two years I spent working for an international investment group and for a multinational company in the catering services, my interaction with the senior management teams has taught me a lot and has whetted my appetite for obtaining the necessary background to anticipate and react to ever-changing working conditions.
The economy in my home country, Tunisia, after the revolution has faced a constantly changing environment which has influenced the behavior of business and it has also enabled significant transformations , thus the need for being quickly and accurately adapt to the changable political and economical regulations has become increasingly crucial to the success of a business .Consequently , there is a great demand for specialists who able to understand the most updated management tools and techniques well enough to adapt them in my country's economic context and be able to articulate different managerial practices . This is why it is an exciting and fascinating period to study this chosen field of project management and business engineering.
I am now more and more convinced that adaptability, creative thinking and the application of technology are now intrinsic to managing businesses and I would consider it my privilege to start over a new academic experience in the United States and avail of the excellent infrastructure facilities and research opportunities that American universities have been offering. In short, I believe that a good graduate program is an essential step for realizing my professional ambition of becoming part of a senior management team. I believe that I have the capacity to make this commitment and accept the challenges and I am also confident that I have the requisite aptitude and motivation to make a meaningful contribution to my chosen field.My interest in business management goes back to the time I was at the graduate (when i was graduated from) business school of California State University San Bernardin.
