. Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud, and how does it relate to the person you are?

Throughout my whole life, I had experiences many turn of events. Some of them were pleasant, and some were not. Above all experiences I had gained throughout my life, the one that had impacted me so much was my best friend's accident. The unfortunate event happened when I was in 4th grade.

That day, my best friend, Lisa was going home from school. She looked at me, smiling and walked toward the road. I never thought that the smile she'd give to me was the last one from her. Right in front of my eyes, I saw her, hit by a speeding car. Her school uniform was covered with blood. Seeing her helplessly lying by the roadside, I felt so terrible as I couldn't do anything to help her. The ambulance came late and she didn't make it. She died.

That terrible incident still flashes in my mind once in a while and it make me realized how fragile life is. Death is our final destination and no one had ever escaped it. When my best friend died, I learnt that life is impermanent. Thus, after that terrible incident happened, I've been living my life each day as if it was going to be my last. Steve Jobs once quoted during his commencement at Stanford University Graduation Ceremony that "Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose." By living with the thoughts that I'm going to die, I really value my life because I know that every sixty seconds I spent is a minute that will never come back and that one minute is too precious to be wasted with something that I would regret later.

Despite the sadness Lisa's death gave to me, I eventually became stronger and appreciate my life and its entire content better. Life is too precious to waste by living in someone else's life. Thus, I stood up, voiced out my opinion and stopped living with the results of other people's thinking. Now, I'm a confidence young woman, ready to face any circumstances in the future.

Hi,

Throughout my whole life, I had experiencesd many turns of events.

.... many turns (plural form)

Above all experiences I had gainedthroughout my life , the one that had impacted me so much was my best friend's accident.

it sounds repetitive with that part I scrapped off

That day, my best friend, Lisa was going home from school. She looked at me, smiling and walked toward the road. I never thought that the smile she'd give to me was the last one from her.

I still remember the innocent smile on my best friend Lisa's face as she said bye to me when we departed to go home from school. She couldn't move far and right in front of my eyes she was hit by a racing car.
