Is it okay to write an admission essay like a story?

I'm writing an undergraduate admission essay. BUT i don't know . . is it okay to write it like a story? and is it okay to bring some imagination in the essay? 'cause i'm an imaginative person. LOL

Depending on what type of prompt that you're given, sometimes writing the essay like a story would probably make better. Just make sure that at the end, you've proved a point and sent a clear message of what you have learned, who you are, etc.

I believe that you can make the text with a sequence and after link with reality.. it will be a great essay...try to be as clear as you can and direct to the point... do not ramble on...

Yeah, I really think it is best to avoid letting the story take up the whole essay. You can let it be an anecdote that takes up part of the essay, but leave plenty of room for discussing the "moral of the story."

When I was writing my essay, I just used the story as context to set it up in the backdrop. But then you have to make sure to add how the story is actually important. Try linking it to your aspirations for a profession or how it helped you grow as a person.

As far as what I have been told my my English teacher this year and the year before, it is ok to exaggerate and make it into a story.
