I wasn't quite sure how to go about this essay, so I don't mind any harsh criticism. Thank you for you're time!

Prompt: Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?

There is a place, where I am at my happiest; this place is so serene, and so comforting to me. This very place is the bluffs above the beach.

Waves crashing onto the rocks, the ocean breeze, and the salty air from the sea, I feel at peace. Every time I come here, my mind is revitalized with inspiring thoughts about school, life, and memories.I come here every time I go on a long run. I've always gone on long runs, but I hadn't discovered this place until about a year or two ago, when a friend and I decided to go through a small forest with trails leading up to the bluffs. I was absolutely mesmerized by the ocean view. On nice spring or summer days, with the sun shining down on the sea, it's such a sight to see. Birds fly overhead, flowers are blooming, and it is just fascinating, because it's nature at its best. The best part of running on the bluffs is when I am running on the trail closest to the edge, where I can see everything. Now, around bluffs, it's not as amazing. There are old dried up trees, bushes and grass, messed up dirt trails, but it doesn't make this place any less peaceful for me. This is the place where I always come to have my alone time. It is my alone time to think, to contemplate on life, even to determine how I'll go about a homework assignment. This is where I find my passion to live. It's amazing how such a small place can mean so much. I don't mean to sound over sentimental, but this place has become a part of me. I've come here for so many occasions where I've felt lost or somber. The bluffs just seem to remind me that it'll be okay, and I'll get through it.nComing up to the bluffs is meaningful, as people say, take a moment to "stop and smell the roses," or the smell the ocean in my case. It's nice to just sit on the side, and to just take a moment to appreciate what life has to offer, of what Mother Nature has to offer. The bluffs are an epitome of what peace and content is, and I know for sure, as I age, I will definitely be coming back to this place for as long as I live.

Just some thoughts as I was reading this.

I think it's good. I think that you might want to use a little more imagery to tell your story. Really describe the bluffs. Maybe describe how it smells or how the sun feels when it shines down on you.

Go into detail about how it makes you feel. Don't just say that it's meaningful. Try to paint a picture.

When I read it, it kinda sounds like you're repeating yourself. Try describing the place, describing what you do when you get there and how it makes you feel.

This is a good piece. Be a little more descriptive. Also try putting more of yourself into the essay. Don't just describe the bluff. It's pretty obvious that it would be a lovely place. Say what it means to you.

Remember! Talk about yourself more than the place.

That's all I got. Good luck!
