James125 1 / 1 Jan 31, 2013 #1Describe how you can contribute to the diversity of the University. My participation in band, advanced placement classes, and National Honor Society could lead one to believe that I am a stereotypical band nerd. This, however, does not paint a complete picture of me. This perception of me is incomplete because my interests and hobbies are much more widespread. For example, although I have not participated in sports in high school, I do lift weight at home and hope to one day participate in powerlifting competitions, no matter the tier. I have a wide variety of friends, from jocks to nerds and rednecks to skaters, and believe it important to get along with all walks of life. I believe this variety in interests and relationships has made me a better, more cultured person that would bring diversity to the University of *******.Thanks in advance!
Th25cc 2 / 90 26 Jan 31, 2013 #2Far too short. Lifting weights and having a variety of friends does not allow you to bring diversity to the university. What is unique to just you?
OP James125 1 / 1 Jan 31, 2013 #3Hmm.. hell if I know. I'm a white middle class male, haha. I honestly don't believe I can much diversity. You don't think this shows at least a little variety? Many thanks for the input though.
