strange admission essay questions.

hi everyone, I am applying to university of Victoria bachelor of social work program and there admission questions seem really strange. I have no experience writing an admission essay as generally universities in canada do not require them for entrance to an undergraduate degree. I currently hold an undergraduate in psychology and I will be applying to this program soon so any general suggestions would be great then I will follow up in a month or so with what i got so people can critque this for me. thanks. I am basically wondering where I should start as this essay counts for 40% of the admission points. thanks again.

The School of Social Work seeks to identify and choose applicants whose aspirations are congruent with the objectives as stated in the School's Mission Statement. Please discuss why you believe you would be a strong candidate for this program (maximum 500 words)
2. Your social work degree is an opportunity to examine what you know and how you have learned these things. It will also involve a certain element of "unlearning". Where do you anticipate challenging your own learning (that is, your ability to be reflective and examine your own biases, assumptions and opinions)? (maximum 250 words)

These are the questions i must answer.

The first one says they want to make sure the applicants really do have aspirations that are consistent with their philosophy of social work. Write an essay about your interpretation of their Mission Statement, but disguise that interpretation as a presentation about your own SPECIFIC career goals.

If I were you, I would come up with specific social work roles you want to play -- counseling? If so, what kind? existential? REBT? Cognitive?
