i have a question about the *Choose and issue of importance essay*

Hi, my name is jason and i need to write an essay about an issue of great importance. i have thought of several things to write but people have told me that they were topics rather than issues. I just want to ask you guys if it would be okay to write about the undermined education system in my country? the infrastructure of schools and certain repercussions for which i want to study abroad? would that be okay? or do i have to write about something more general?

In my view, the degradation of the infrastructure of education in a country is an issue of great importance.

I wouldn't worry about being too specific -- most students make the opposite mistake, and pick too broad a topic. Make sure you can narrow down your issue to a manageable thesis that you can defend in whatever length of essay you are supposed to write.

Many things are important in today's world.
You can talk about perhaps the importance of the free market and capitalism in developed societies.
However, you can also talk about the importance of being concerned with labor forces and the people of a society.

You can talk about how people can be instinctively unwilling to accept differences outside their respective enculturation. This may include racism.

Man, just talk about something you think you can actually talk about.

I think that the undermined education system in your country is a good subject to talk about

Well of course that's an issue of great important, try and be as specific as possible and use alot of evidence to backup your view.
