Essay about entering into FSU's CARE Program

Prompt: Why do you want to participate in Florida State Univeristy's CARE Program?

I am interested in becoming a member of Florida State University's CARE Program mainly because of the benefits associated with the program and the opportunity to experience the college life before actually entering the college or university. There are many of financially disadvantaged students, and many of those usually tend to come from low income families. Fortunately, I'm glad to say that I am apart of those many. I've experienced many downfalls financially in my lifespan and I'm just grateful to know that not only FSU but many others actually took the time to actually think about students like me. I would also like to be apart of this program so that I would have the chance to communicate and meet with new people that are striving for the same thing I'm striving for. Throughout all of my research it's a well-known fact that you will also meet your lifelong friends in the program as well. It seems as though I'd really enjoy myself and I learn a lot through the program. It's a lot of work to get into the program and they are asking for a lot of important information, however, it is well worth it. I am willing to participate in this program and kind of get a head start so that I can excel and move on with my career.

I think it is strange that you mention low income families and then say you are not among them.... What are you really trying to say here?

Throughout all of my research, I have been reminded again and again that we meet our lifelong friends in this kind of program as well.
