Despite of my faint childhood memories, the first time I went on a trip overseas with my family to Indonesia has been still remaining as one of unforgettable event in my heart.
I was only ten years old at that time, but visiting a foreign country gave me a refreshing jolt and stimulating. Who could have known that my childish curiosity would be such a critical role in determining my future career?
For the reason of my curiosity, I left my parent's sight and wandered around the whole of the hotel and as a result, I got lost. However, just at that moment, a man dressed in a smart uniform who came to me and asked me something in a language I could not understand. After he looked after me for a few minutes, my parents and I were reunited by the man's help. I later found out that he was a hotel manager, and since then, I have had aspirations to be an hotelier.
Even if I have always planned to become an hotelier, I did not always have specific plans or any careers advice. However, during the research for hospitality universities, and my advisors in high school who pointed me towards Les Roches as the ideal place to continue my education after high school.
Over the course of my internship and work experience, I have learned that 'language' is a crucial ability of any hotelier. Although I am able to converse easily with people who can speak Chinese and English, I do not want to be limited, so I plan to learn to interact with guests who speak Spanish. Therefore, I have no doubt that studying at Les roches Marbella will help me to achieve my goals.
Also, one of my main motivations to apply to Les roches Marbella is the internship program, which provides students the opportunity to work in hospitality industry. Coupled with their excellent academic track record, I am certain that my studies and future career will be in good hands at Les roches.
I strongly desire to build up as much experience as possible by working in a real industry. It will allow me to accomplish my goal of providing my customers with the same unforgettable care and attention that I met in Indonesia a decade ago.
