My Essay:
I still remember the first time I learned about New York University. At that time, I realized that it is not only a prestigious academic institution, but also my best choice. Unlike most colleges and universities in the United States, New York University is located in the central of New York City, the financial center of the world. As a business student, its unique location can bring me more opportunities to connect with financial institutions and their staff so that I can find more job interviews and boot camps on-campus. Also, instead of merely looking through medias and sending E-mails to my professors to broaden my knowledge about business, I can be exposed in a business network if I can be a student of New York University. Its location can also provides me a multi-cultural environment, where I can communicate and learn more about exotic cultures. Learning about other cultures is not just useful to make more friends; it is also conducive for analyzing the way of thinking and lifestyles of people from diverse cultures, which can contribute to the plans of investment. Its rigorous and selective academic requirement is also nourishing for me to push myself to become a more competitive job applicant.
As a foreign student, the most promising factors of me are the different life experience and the strong will of opinion-sharing. Just like the multi-cultural environment in New York University can bring more me ideas of conducting commercial activities, my life experience in China can have the same effect to my classmates, and my strong will of opinion-sharing can perfect the critical thinking process and spark new solutions of the cases.
