I'm normally really good at writing essays, but I cannot for the life of me write about myself. I wrote some, but I don't know how to close it or how to even approach the essay in general. I attached what I have written so far. Any suggestions would be great!

Throughout my life, I've strived to be the best in order to reach my goals. Ever since I was 12, I've had my heart set on being an internationally acclaimed film producer; and I've been taking and will continue to take many steps academically and within my extra-curricular to achieve my lifetime goal.
As soon as I stepped foot into high school, I began to push myself as much as I could academically. I enrolled in AP and Pre-AP courses which resulted in teaching myself self-discipline, time management, and most of all to never give up. Because of my academic achievements, I was accepted into my schools chapters of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. The induction into these societies gave me the confidence necessary to maintaining good grades and dedication to my school career. Starting my sophomore year I was able to enroll in classes aimed at aiding me in achieving my lifetime goal of being a film producer. This upcoming year will be my third year of audio/visual production and my first year of participating in my schools weekly broadcast program. By taking these courses, I've learned vital skills important to survive in the production industry such as: the importance of a deadline, editing techniques and software, how to write a script, stage a set, and how to direct films. My academic goals and achievements don't end in high school though, for I have set myself high academic standards in the future. I strive to continue to work hard and get accepted into the Radio, Television, Film major at University of Texas at Austin. Not only do I wish to just take courses aimed at my lifetime goal, I want to also gain a background in law as well.
Not only do I excel academically, but also within my extra-curricular. Beginning my sophomore year, I was voted class president. As class president, I've been working on raising money for my classes prom at the end of our senior year. Even though the job brings stress and a lot of work, it's taught me many things that can aid me with my lifetime goal such as: how to organize, how to bring together and work with a variety of people, and how to spark interest in different kinds of people. All vital skills in an industry that requires you to work with a diversity of people. As well as class president, I've been involved in my schools sports medicine program since my freshman year. This program has taught me many leadership skills, how to work efficiently, and how to hold higher responsibility that most people never get to have. Even though I will not pursue sports medicine in the future, I value the skills I've gained from it and they won't only apply to my lifetime goal, but my life overall. In the future, I would like to participate in the campus film programs or TV station.
I'm not sure whether this comment will help, but I tell my students to take the prompt literally.
Is this the exact phrasing of the essay task? If so, I'd be concerned about the use of the word "current" in the assignment and your discussion of events from nearly two years ago.
