The question is: why do you want to study sociology? Honest feed back please! And should I delete the last sentence???

There are many questions that I cannot get out of my head. Living within me like little creatures, they are constantly reminding me that they need to be answered. Trying to find those answers, I have come to the realization that my questions all originate in the same place. They come from my encounters with human group behavior, social organization, culture, and society - sociology. I want to understand the origin of social problems and the causes of social change. I want to understand the connection between culture and behavior, why people stereotype and judge each other, why societies choose to fail. I want to understand how society has affected me and will in the future. I want to understand how I can impact it effectively. It is as simple as that. I just want to find answers.

I believe Brown's Sociology Program, would not just support me on my way to find those answers, but more importantly stimulate me to ask even more questions.

Oh found one more mistake... here is the newest version...I NEED SOME FEEDBACK! PLEASE!

I have questions - an awful lot of questions that I cannot get out of my head. Living within me like little creatures, they are constantly reminding me that they need to be answered. Trying to find those answers, I have come to the realization that my questions all originate in my encounters with human group behavior, social organization, culture, and society - sociology.

As part of a community formed by students from as many as ninety countries, it is my observations of their interaction with each other that make me wonder: Why do people stereotype? How are culture and behavior connected? How has society influenced me? And it is my community's interaction with the rest of the world that makes me ask: What are the causes of social change? What is the origin of social problems? And why do societies choose to fail? In the end, it is as simple as that - I just want to find answers.
