hey everybody, I just wrote a rough draft of the second vassar supplement question and was wondering if I could get some insight. I got some feedback from a friend, and she said that it was a bit too much oh a history and not enough about how I feel. The idea that I was going on was that it was the history of the school that i found appealing, thus answering the question. I was hoping I could get a second opinion.

How did you learn about Vassar and what aspect of our college do you find appealing? Limit 350 words
When my older sister Lauren, who attended a Vassar summer program, recommended that I go visit the school, I scoffed at the idea. "What, are you kidding? I'd never get in there." Finally, however, I obliged; and it was a decision I will never regret. I looked at my visit to Vassar as a means of quieting Lauren's constant pestering for me to give the place a chance, but upon arrival to the school, the beauty of the campus struck me. This beauty, however, was different. It was a uniquely seductive type of beauty that the many other attractive campuses lacked. It was the history. As a big American history fan, I highly appreciate, for lack of a better phrase, old stuff: and old stuff Vassar has to offer. From the captivating Main Building to the symbolic Cornaro Stained-Glass Window to the opulent parlor style common rooms, Vassar is a nineteenth-century historic wonderland. But the historic beauty of the campus spans beyond its aesthetic charm; it represents the beautiful history that the college itself boasts. As one of the first women's colleges in the country, Vassar's foundation was a great leap in the fight for women's educational rights. But after paving the way for increased women's educational rights, Vassar took the lead in the next major step in women's education: embracing the benefits of coeducation. Vassar first admitted men in 1969, and since then its example has been followed by many other elite women's schools. Twice Vassar led the way in a movement for equality of education, and twice it made a lasting impact on our nation's history. And so it was the beauty that set Vassar apart in my mind: both the physical and the symbolic. In my eyes, Vassar's rich and beautiful history signifies its prestige and reputability as a school. So at this moment, I can only envision the sense of pride that would flow through my veins knowing I attend such a celebrated and learned school. One day, I hope to experience it.
