mnm123 1 / - Jun 20, 2014 #1Hello everyone,I am going to write an explanation letter for the Canadian visa office, explaining why I can't provide the "reference letter" and "letter from current employer" documents. Can anyone please check the following and see if it is OK?Thanks in advanceTo whom it may concernMy name is xxxxxx; I received my PhD degree from xxxx. During my PhD, I published fourteen papers in top journals and conference proceedings.I have a postdoctoral research fellow offer from xxxxxx, and therefore I am applying for a work permit. However, during the past year I have mainly been teaching in the xxxx University. For "letter from current employer", they only provide a fixed type of document, which I have uploaded its translation. Also I have not a direct supervisor, and it is not possible to get the reference letter from them. However, I have provided a reference letter from my PhD supervisor that I hope will demonstrate my quality for such research position.
