Hi everyone! I hope you are able to help me out. I have a scholarship essay due tomorrow and I need feedback and editing help. I would truly appreciate any guidance in this because your time is valuable. Please read my story! Thank you so much :)

Topic: Write about what motivated you to choose your major or program, your future career goals, and any other information that will help reviewers make a well-informed decision. This is your first, and sometimes only, chance to tell them why they should award a scholarship to you, as opposed to another applicant

I remember the summer I fell in love with Hospitality because it drastically changed my life forever. From a very young age, I have dealt with the nightmares of alcoholism that governed my family since before I was born. I grew up in a very hectic household where drinking was a daily routine, and I witnessed severe drug abuse as a child. I remember a time in my life as a teenager, where I could not sleep in fear of the drunken torture my older brother would force upon our family. As a young woman, I vowed to never let this disease run my life as it has unfortunately done for my family emotionally, financially, and worst of all, physically. In 2005, it only took three weeks in Spain at the prime age of 16 for me to see the endless opportunities the hospitality and tourism industry has to offer me. I am here at ***** University to become the best person I can be and to rise above becoming a product of my environment.

I am currently in pursuit of my ultimate goal to work in Human Resource Management of Casino Operations. As a student worker from a middle class family, I understand the daily grind for individuals to survive each day and go beyond their capacities in order to create a steady income for their families. Since I was six weeks old, both of my parents worked full-time jobs in social services so that my siblings and I could have opportunities like this. I am currently the only child to fully appreciate and work towards those possibilities. With my background, I plan to enhance my authentic leadership qualities to help understand and evaluate employees' needs so they view their job as a part of their life and not just a daily obligation.

My mother played a huge part in the direction I am taking in professional career. She has devoted her entire life to the well-being, educational and professional movement of young adults in ***** county. I have seen my mother develop the Youth Corps program; a program that serves at-risk and out-of-school youth to enhance their potential, teach them good citizenship and (verb) teamwork through community service. My mother will always be my role model she always reminds me to live my life, not by social events, but what I can do for others. I only wish to be half the woman she is for her community to the ***** community.

For these reasons, I participate in the High School Outreach Program arranged by the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. My goal was to inspire these teenagers that grew up in tough conditions and help them see the light at the end of the tunnel. I feel as if I have a personal obligation to be a role model to young girls from all different cultures, encourage them to form academic goals and help them build self-esteem to become young motivated professionals..

The main lesson I have learned in my 25 years is to work hard and to stay humble. As the newest secretary for the Tribal Gaming Student Association at ****, I will not only continue to mold myself into a top hospitality professional, but I will also continue to stay active in the *** and Native American communities.

I remember the summer I fell in love with Hospitality because it drastically changed my life forever. From a very young age, I have dealt with the nightmares of alcoholism that governed my familysince before I was born.

These sentences have some problems. Grammar is not that great here, but more than that I am confused about what sort of idea you are trying to deliver. Why do you particularly mention about you summer experience. I think you need to talk about a little more details about that to reduce the readers confusion.

The last summer was instrumental in changing my perception about Hospitality. From a very young age, I was forced to deal with many traumatic experiences caused by alcoholism that dominated my family background.
