Maybe you can try to from different perspectives? Try to find some empirical research papers to support your points.

Many of the negative effects will be the same as the negative effects of watching television -- exposure to violence, lack of exercise.

There are many articles about the negative effects of video games and television. That will be a good place to start.

If you do key word searches for "online game" you might not find as much.

i) degrading of women....portraying them as cheap things....
2) developing curiosity to try out things that are negative
3) sensationalizing all nonsense which makes one forget the faint line between reality and fiction.

I think the online games are different from the console games.
Online games attract a large number of youngsters to play together,it seems like a virtual world. Some young people are fascinated by the their roles in the virtual world,for example ,they are "great kings" who can make rules casually or "brave warriors" who can kill enemies easily. But it may be harmful to their mental health in realistic world.
