EF_Kevin 8 / 13,321 129 Sep 4, 2014 #8Hi! It's great that you care enough about your writing to spend time asking for a critique. Where is the thesis? One of the ideas I think is most important is to spent plenty of time on the Lit Review before trying to write the introduction. And the thesis statement really should be written last. Some people try to write it first. That is okay if they know their topic really well, but in general when you come up with a thesis statement first and then try to find research to support it, you are sending your self on an unnecessary scavenger hunt. It's better to dedicate all your attention to the Lit Review and then see what ideas emerge naturally.
