Lucy, being aware of this mental breakdown, nurses her father back to sanity with the aid of her affection. Sydney Carton too was imprisoned, yet he was mentally held because he lacked motivation to complete anything. On the other hand, when Lucy came along, Carton's life was revolutionized. When expressing his emotions towards her, he mentioned how if it had not been for her, he would not be the man he was that day.
Though Mr. Lorry had not had major change on many people in the tale, affecting Lucy in recovery, when her father had been abruptly taken away from her could be viewed as a substantial impact. He supported her to the point where he could provide a loving, secure childhood. Mr. Lorry became Lucy's father figure throughout the legend. He would facilitate the protected recovery of Dr. Manette along with Lucy and never faltered while doing so.
