Hi.

I have been working on this paper with another forever I come with something and it is wrong or doesn't make sence.

Some Thesis:

What is Steinbeck trying to say about isolation? In the end everyone is alone.
Sample of this:

In 1937, John Steinbeck would write an extraordinary piece that would later

become a classic novel. This novel was named Of Mice and Men. It tells of two

men, George Milton and Lennie Small, who are embarking on a journey of

owning their own land together. This dream is tested many times due to the fact that

Lennie has a mental capacity 2 years shy of an 8 year old. Steinbeck uses different

forms of imagery to foreshadow the main characters destiny of isolation. The forms of

isolation that are in the novel are due to others behavior, fear, race, age, gender,

physical and mental disability. Steinbeck's idea of isolation is that no matter whom

associates with whom in the end we are all alone.

George and Lennie fight their isolation by having a dream of owning something

more than them. By going to each town, earning their stakes, and having each others

back they are unlike the other workers that travel alone. But, they like other characters

will not make it because their attempt to break isolation with be their breakdown. Lennie

is isolated from the characters in the novel because of his mental capacity. George is

also isolated due to the fact that he has to clean up the chaos Lennie starts. So if

George gets into another friendship with someone else he is forced to go into hiding

when Lennie get into trouble. Lennie and George are both set free from their isolation

when George puts Lennie to death.

Levels of isolation thoughout the novel. Ex. Normal Discrimination casues isolation for some characthers, abnormal isolation is due from normal discrimanation.

Candy is suffering from abnormal isolation due to others behavior that is caused by his

discrimination.

Crooks is isolated because of racism. "....I ain't wanted in the bunk house,

and..." "Why ain't you wanted?" Lennie asked. " 'Cause I'm black..."(68).

If you need my assignment sheet I can up that too.

Hello!
So that I can better help you, can you help me understand your situation a little better? If I am understanding your situation, it sounds like you are writing a thesis on [i]Of Mice and Men.[i]

Do you need help organizing, editing, or help with more ideas? It seems like your assignment requires you to show examples of isolationism in the book. If this is the case, I believe you have some really good groundwork. Might I suggest you elaborate a bit on exactly what kind of symbolism Steinbeck uses to foreshadow? Or, perhaps you could elaborate on the concept of isolation being inevitable.

If this is not what you need, please let me know so that I can better help you.

Hey, good job! My friend has a saying, "C's make degrees"; sometimes that's all that matters! What really matters is that you have noticed a difference in your writing. The more you do it the better you'll get.

Good work!
