I need help to write a report to justify a fabrication department

Hi all, I work for a 4x4 vehicle supplier and have been tasked to write a report to justify the existence of our manufacturing department. Do you have examples or can provide me with guidance on how to go about this ? Thanks.

Frankie7010: justify the existence of our manufacturing department You need to show what the department contributes to the company, is that right? Do you need to write this report to show the value your department has for the company? This has to be a persuasive essay. List 3 strong arguments about the importance of the department. Let each argument becme a paragraph. Then, go back and write an introduction. I'm sorry I have no example to give. I'm not sure yet if I correctly understand what you are trying to do. Who will read the report? The company executives?

Hi Kevin, Thank you very much for replying so quickly and apologies for my very long delay !! Yes, I need to write this report to justify the existence of the department as opposed to outsourcing the work to manufacturing companies... I know what I want to write about but cannot get the ball rolling... Ideally I would like an example to use as guidance to help me write the report Thanks.
