I have been working in the credit research team at xxx for the last two years. Beginning with research of major European Blue Chips Corporations I specialised into the research of European sovereigns. This research has provided me with a great insight in the financial strategies of different companies, industries & more specifically countries.
My research on Greece & Portugal in March, shortly before the major market turmoil began, became a great personal accomplishment as I received incredibly positive feedback from multiple market participants.
However, this did make me wonder and created a desire to question what I really can achieve. Simply publishing the research based on my calculations without the ability to provide my own opinions and recommendations is not realising my full potential.
I soon realised that this is not challenging enough for me and this gave me a pivotal direction in exactly what I really wanted to do. Basically, I would like to actually use complex information and apply it to different models and make recommendations based on that and potentially invest on this.
For this I also need to possess the skills to make those recommendations based upon my findings.
Unfortunately my current qualification set does not permit me to extend into that realm of detail and responsibility for which I crave.
In order for me to get to the next step I am convinced that attending the Master in Finance, would not only lead me into the right direction and provide extensive financial knowledge; moreover its reputation, the experience of staff and the ability to provide me with recognised tools to move into what I believe is my desired field in the Finance industry convinces me that I will succeed.
By enrolling in xxxx and its wide variety of elective choices I will be able to perfectly tailor a curriculum that suits my needs and I have yet to discover a better organisation than yours.
I am excited to engage in numerous case studies which will be enhanced by the practical experience of your teaching staff on the critical analysis of financial statements.
In addition, xxx being a xxx Partner Institution, I am assured that I will benefit from xxxx curriculum becoming more knowledgeable and confident in achieving the xxx qualification.
