As I have grown up in an educated and cultural family, I always feel the trend for continuous learning new things. Generally, being idealistic, responsible and perfect in everything assigned to me are the most outstanding characteristics, I can mention about myself so that during the twelve years of my education I always had been among the three top students.
Fearing from being idle and having no progress has always been one my motivations to learn more and study in the highest levels of university in my favorite field of expertise. I have always had passion to be aware of the newest findings and technologies in my own field of work and studies and even to be part of these new achievements.
It would be so great if you can do something to improve the global environment. It would be wonderful if you have a share in making the life for people around the world in the real welfare and well-being, it would be so honorable to be effective in the sustainable development achievements and better correlation of industries and environment and also it would be so great to use your knowledge and by means of new technologies to let people all around the world to have a share in all the renewable resources. In the other hand it would be so sorrowful to see our soils, forests, mines and fossil fuels are all being used up by our inconsiderate consumption and the resources are not renewed anymore; but we are completely responsible to our environment and we have to protect them for next generations.
Most of us forget the concept and definition of environment; environment is human being, animals, plants and all other living creatures. We forget that we are also responsible for animals and plants and the creature except humans have also right to live on the earth. We are destroying deliberately or unintentionally the natural ecosystems and consequently having the plants or animals endangered, rare or extincted.Of course it's finally harm to humans because the life chains is getting defected. The air is polluted without taking into account its further consequences like the global warming, inversion and various diseases.
In my opinion all of these problems are due to lack of proper information. If all the environmentalists involved specialists and managers had better understanding of the issues and knew the suitable solutions, most of the present problems would not exist.
Based on my experience, sometimes we see gradual destruction of the environment but we can not find the right solution or the measurements presented to manage the problem is too costly without any output and I can conclude that the reason for this scenario is nothing but lack of knowledge. That is why I tried to study hard in the university and keep learning new things and so I was assigned as the top student in the program.
The majority of the environmental researches in Iran is allocated to Human Environment and Natural Environment are less taken into account so I had my graduation project on the nutrition habit of Partridge (Alectoris chukar) in Isfahan Province habitats. The project took about eleven months and the sampling was accomplished from crops of 34 Partridges in different seasons and the priority of Partridge 's diet was experimented and recognised.According to the acceptable results I derived from the project, I was able to publish it in the Scientific Quarterly Journal(The Environment)affiliated to Department of Environment of Iran.
After graduation I started a job in the civil faculty of Isfahan University of Technology to research on the Isfahan province industrial pollutants. The research took 2 years and we could determine the analysis of the samples taken from wastewaters of different industries. After recognition the pollution resources we represented proper recommendations and solutions with economic considerations as a comprehensive report to Industrial Ministry of Iran.
After accomplishing the research, I was employed in FIECO as an environment expert. The company is a design and consultancy company with more than 300 engineers involved in research, basic design, detail design and even EPC projects in steel, mining, oil and gas industries.
It is obvious that steel industries are instinctively pollutant and my effort was focused on recognition of pollution resources of various steel making processes and proposing solutions to control or remove the pollutants.
The other major responsibility that I have had in the company is to prepare Environmental Impact Assessment reports for various projects that can have a pivotal role in reducing damage to environment. According the different activities I have had in EIA, I could get Iranian Association Environmental Assessment membership; one of the major functions of the association is to cooperate with Department of Environment of Iran for evaluation of the EIA reports received to the Department.
Site Selection for industrial plants and finding the best location for establishment of the plants based on the Ecological Capability Evaluation of the location is another effective solution of minimizing the environment destruction. In this regard I have carried out a number of the Site Selection for projects by means of GIS soft wares and one of them was presented in Conference held in Department of Environment of Iran about correlation of Environment and Steel Industries.
According to an evaluation taken place in the company in 2002, I was awarded the first in ranking among all the engineering groups.
Attending in English and French classes to increase my ability to have better communication with other countries experts, resources and references are my pastimes.
Fortunately nowadays, implementation and conformity with Environment Management System (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and HSE Management System are the prerequisites and a necessity for companies to start off any projects.
The responsibility for establishment of the aforementioned systems in the company is with to me and I have attended some local and international courses to help me out in this regard. I also have responsibilities like HSE manager, ensuring the safety and health of personnel in the company, supervision on projects safety managers' activities, and preparation of HSE Plans for projects to watch for environmental and occupational healthy impact of the projects. I am so delighted to see that more attention is being paid to occupational health and safety besides the protection of environment so I've tried to learn more about this matter.
I have learned a lot from the years I am working and the experiences I have gained but I still feel I need more academic knowledge to join it with my experience and utilize them together to be more and more helpful to people and environment. I am trying to find universities with higher rankings with my favorite programs to refresh my knowledge and update myself so that hopefully my dream of having better world comes true.
