Statement of Purpose

My Childhood
One of my favorite activities as a kid was reading books and I enjoyably saved my pocket money to buy books. My second favorite activity was using my creativity to invent things. For example, I have created many new and innovative things during my primary school which were donated to my schools.
As a 15 year-old boy, I was really enthusiastic about creating computer games rather than playing them. I created my first simple computer game using MS-DOS and GW-Basic when I was about 16 years old. Afterwards, I learned to write programs using Pascal when I was around 17 when the amazing speed of Pascal compilation time and powerful language encouraged me to create many programs using it.
Furthermore, I have always been at the top of our class and I have won many prizes during my primary, and secondary school.
Undergraduate Studies
During my undergraduate studies I was exposed to different interesting and challenging issues of computer science. Therefore, I decided to make myself familiar with a breadth of knowledge to improve and accumulate more practical experience. In addition to academic courses, I read lots of books, mostly in two categories: Artificial Intelligence books and software engineering books
(like C++, C#, UML, and OOP). I also applied them to some personal projects in my free time.
For my project course, I could successfully create Integrated Software Systems based on SOA and using software engineering methodologies and paradigms like OOP, UML. In addition I used C# and Sql Server in order to develop programs. I used to study on SOA model and tried to exploit this powerful architecture in order to develop loosely-coupled and scalable software systems. In addition, I needed to manage many issues like security, concurrency, and many other aspects associated with software systems.
Work Experience
I have played different roles like a member of R&D team, Analyzer, Designer, Developer, and Software Architecture to meet my company's goals as well as fulfill clients' expectations. I have created several software products by taking advantages of different technologies in a team or on my own.
I have found that I am really interested in Object Oriented Principles, Design Pattern, Data Mining, and Software Architecture. In addition, I am very enthusiastic about researching on Artificial Intelligence as a basic AI course was in our curriculum during my undergraduate studies which was very appealing.
Working as a Software Architect in the third year of my working at Kheder Company proves how ambitious and hard working I am. After about six months R&D, I have created a three-tier architecture for Payroll system and it was highly appreciated by CEO and Software Manager of my Company.
Some of the new architecture's advantages were:
- Huge reduction in the amount of code compared to the previous architecture
- Separation of Concerns was correctly implemented
- More user satisfaction by applying User Experience Design
- Code was easy to understand and easy to extend

Besides, I believe in myself and I believe I can be far more productive by studying at [My Uni Name] with it top-notch faculty.
Based on my previous experience and my interests, I am definitely sure I am capable of pursuing my future research and work in Computer Science and Software Engineering research programs.
