here is the short one.
I generate my special ideas of accounting and find it fascinating.
Accounting is forward looking, for it predicts the financial performance and directs the future development of enterprises. I was in the CIMA case analysis to work out a proper development proposal for a broadcasting company. Lack of accounting consideration, I made no decisions. When I managed to draw the cash flow statement and the balance sheet for the next 5 years, I was aware of the possible finance activities in the future. Accordingly, I figured out the correct direction of development and work out the suitable proposal finally.
Accounting is sustained, for it has developed and achieved higher value in modern business. For China, accounting develops to keep in pace with the fast growing economy. Problems like the shutdown of SMEs revealed the leaks in the old accounting system. Government has thus regulated the relevant legislations and launched new standards in auditing. For enterprises, accounting develops to participate, and even direct in the strategic scheme and sustainable development of company business.
With my interests into accounting, I set my goals to pursue successful career in the industry.
My immediate goal is to be an audit associate in Big 4 and to pass CPA. Spending 4-5 years in accounting firm provides me both professional and industrial knowledge. While performing audit procedures or reviewing transaction cycles, I will gain hands-on experience and learn practical solutions to problems encountered. Since I am exposed to various enterprises in different industries, I will have deep understands to the financial operations and can decide which industry I would like to specialize in. Meanwhile, with the numerous in-house trainings, I can easily pass CPA.
My long term goal is to be the CFO with the vision of both overall interests and globalization. Modern accounting is not limited to techniques only. Such position requires me to combine professional theories, experience with leadership skills to make advanced financial strategies. As a CFO, I should bravely take the market challenges brought by globalization and make credible accounting schemes.
To achieve my goals, I've trained myself in other aspects despite accounting learning. As a strong leader, I seek to develop the role that team members play and establish appropriate plan. As an effective communicator, I apply perspective-taking ability and state my points loud and clear.
Apparently a master of accounting is of great importance. MAcc program in USC is suitable to my needs and talents. First is the network system. The excellent alumni association in Marshall School provides me the chance to get in touch with graduates and elites in accounting industry, which can deepen my understands to it. Second is the diversity. Students in MAcc program have diverse backgrounds and different goals. Being with them helps me to embrace different kinds of opinions and to accumulate future cooperative relationships. Third is the opportunity. The career service in MAcc presents me with extraordinary resources to pursue my career goals. Also, the location and the reputation of USC bring more opportunities, which enable me to start higher in my early career.
