SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT SCIENTIFIC WORK ON PLANTS AND FOOD IS GOOD,OTHERS DENY. DISCUSS BOTH SIDES AND GIVE YOUR OPINION WITH EXAMPLES.

The science had made remarkable progress today that many scientific research are going on farming and food production.In olden times when farmers were totally dependent on rains for growing food grains.They also take care of their fields to save them from birds and insects.Now a days due to good progress in science the scientist had introduce some pesticides to save food grains from insects.
They have also made research on plants and introduce some new plants which need less water and farmer get good income from these plants. I totally agree that scientific research on plants is good as now farmer can easily make money and save their lands from insects through pesticides.

In earlier times when farmer loose ten percent of their food production due to insects and some time loose complete food grains due to rain now they can easily grow plants which need less water and give them more income and due to pesticides they even save their plants from insects.

The introduction of new food items are due to scientific progress that people
can save their time and cook food very fast . They can eat food items like bread, burger, pizza, they were not there in earlier times. These new food items save much more time and it had many vitamins .

It had many good points but it share bad things also. The introductions of pesticides change the quality of food grains, and introduction of new food items creates more problem for people of facing new epidemic called Obese means these food have more fat products and people are becoming more fat and every year in all over the world people are dying in millions due to these.

To conclude , The scientific research on plants and food is necessary but upto certain limit.People should eat new food item in small quantity and eat these once in week, so this will not create problem and farmer should use less pesticides so it will not effect the food grains.

I'd like the essay a lot better if you were to define "scientific work." Does it refer only to purely theoretical research aimed at better understanding plants and food? Or does it include technological advances too? If so, which ones is it most important to discuss? The Green Revolution, the genetic revolution, the attempts at creating a Green Green Revolution?

I'm guessing that you are referring to biotechnology (also known as genetic engineering). Nobody thinks that scientific work on plants and food is bad, but some people -- including many scientists -- oppose genetic engineering of food crops (or of plants in general) for various ethical, ecological, and health-related reasons.
