I'm going to give LOR to a student who has a class with me, he is brilliant but I'm not sure how much this letter will help him. please help me with your valuable comments and suggestions.

To whom it may Concern
I am writing this letter in support of Mr. XXX and his desire for the PhD. program. I have known Mr. XXX since he took my computer organization course during his undergraduate studies. YYY overall intelligence was reflected in his grade for the course, which were by far the best in the class.
Though YYY has consistently exceeded in all areas of his coursework, the best example of his intelligence shone through a paper on usage of ZZZ in PPP under my supervision. He is a well-organized student in individual and team work projects. As an instance, although he did not have any specific course on the ZZZ subject; he could conduct his paper with a minimum guidance both in theory and implementation. He was capable of facing new challenges as the team coordinator in international RRR competitions where he was responsible to interview with applicants in robotic lab and training junior members for contest.
It is worth mentioning that he was graduated as valedictorian student in 2007 among more than 100 undergraduate students. Furthermore, I was one of the referees for his B.Sc. thesis "KKK" presentation where it was approved by the referees with A+ score.
Despite all previous researches on KKK, XXX's highly-motivation made him to come with new ideas on the KKK solvers .He has a journal paper about exact solution for KKK problems under progress, and I expect him to publish more papers as his study on the subject of planning under uncertainty continues.
For these reasons, I strongly recommend him for PhD and ask that university to award him any kind of financial aid available.

Dear Susan and other friends
Thank you for your review. I also would like to know what is your idea about the level of the letter? Do you think it is a normal LOR or strong or weak?
And also, Do you think it reflects ability of my student in detail?
Thank you

Yes, it seems like an ordinary letter, but he seems like an extraordinary student. To make the letter more powerful, include another sentence in the first paragraph: It was important to me to write this letter of recommendation for him, because....

That will add some emotional appeal and some credibility.

Thank you Kevin so much. my student is really hard working and a kind of intellectual but I don't want to exaggerate on his ability. So I decided to include those researches that he had with me.

"It was important to me to write this letter of recommendation for him, because he has shown his exceptional abilities and high motivation during cooperation in several research projects he had with me."

Do you think it became better now?

I don't like the wording here because it seems to recommend you instead of the student.

"Though YYY has consistently excelled in all areas of his coursework, the proof of his intelligence lies especially in the content of his paper on...."

"It is important to me to recommend Mr. blank for the {institution's} PhD program because he has shown outstanding ability and motivation throughout the course of several collaborative research projects."
