Is there a way to remove my essay from the forum?

The previous post sort of already answers this. But, to simplify, the answer is "yes." You can pay $25 to the site and we will remove it for you. Otherwise, it stays.

Hmm, but wouldn't colleges we apply to consider what we've wrote here then sent to them plagiarism?

Why would it be plagiarism if you wrote the essay yourself? I'm pretty sure they have account information if they really need it.

^I agree. Since when has it been possible to plagiarize your own work?

Sometimes admissions offices try to find any simple glitch with your application to try to reduce the number of applicants, because there are too many good ones :P I do hope they take some of their precious time to check if it's really plagiarism ;P

As the FAQs for the forum state, you can avoid any possible problem by appending your real name to the essay as it appears. Even if you choose not to do that, you ought to give us your real name when you sign up. All posts are time and date stamped. So, if any question should arise, we can verify that you were the one who posted that essay.

Yep. I'm not sure why this question comes up so often, given that any search of the site will find multiple threads explaining this site's policies about deleting threads and explaining how to avoid accusations of plagiarism stemming from the use of the forums.

^I agree that they try to reduce the number of applicants. I disagree with your statement that there are too many good applicants.

^They probably do not since they do not have the time. These Admissions officers have been in the game for quite some time. They can have an idea which essays have been plagiarized and which ones have not.

Sorry I want to ask you a question: how to quote others' sentences with a frame?
I'm new here.

Highlight the part that you want to quote and click "quote".

Note that you need java enabled for the quote option to appear. Otherwise, you can't do it at all.

Hm, what do you mean? You own the writing, but you give us permission to host it as long as the website is up.
