To: Gloria - You've changed the tone a bit from how this site was

hello Gloria,

Tell us little bit about yourself. You've sort of changed the tone a bit from how this site was a while back. I read somewhere you've written in one of your responses that you have been writing professionally for five years and taught for many more before that. No denying that you are putting in a good deal of effort in providing feedback, but you do convey the impression of being a little pressed.

Well, I know there is some 'Body' out there making the policy on how this website should do its work, but I really wonder if that has changed in this transition, that is, as you took over. I guess I am taking some chance here but I do wish to let you know, writing is so much more enjoyable if one can see the teacher, that is you of course, is somewhat enjoying the stumbling attempts of her/ his students.

This website is too good to be about an excessive clamour about plagiarism and other rules, and also a constant mention of its 'being for free' nature. You are doing the work here - for the love of it, and thats what we have come to expect.

Thanks.

I think the tone hasn't changed, but the number of members in need has increased. While it is easy and possible to provide detailed help to 10 members, it's not so easy anymore or physically possible with 100+ active posters. What has never changed - each poster expects a response and each one gets it.

Regarding plagiarism - when we see a member posted the same request on another site in multiple places, we think he/she just wastes our and his/her time, especially when s/he has already received help from the other sources..

Same with repetitive misspellings - it doesn't take a human to correct a misspelled word - computer can do it for us these days.
