writing about gay couples, need ideas

Yes, SO much has been written about this subject, so it should be easy. Check out Google Scholar or FindArticles.com... Start with good, peer reviewed journal articles, or that your paper will be based on quotes from good sources... like cooking with good ingredients.

Some people say that same-sex couples cannot raise a child correctly, and other people say that they certainly can. Here is one to get you started:

You might want to decide which aspect of the topic you want to write about. You could argue that it is a good/bad idea, of course, or you could simply write about how prevalent (or not) it is, what it's implications for society are, how it affects children who are taken in by gay couples, etc. That might give you a more interesting and thoughtful essay that one that merely argues that gay couples should/should not be allowed to adopt.
