Writing an essay about anything we feel dear (graphic design)

Hi i'm new at this.i'm a second year graphic design student in zimbabwe.in order for trun graduate we have to write a thesis on anything we feel dear to our heart but related to graphic design.i liec know wat i wanna write but i dont know where to begin.pls can any help me.in the end we either make an interactive cd or a book on our subject.bein an indian i tend to fall back on my religion as i love the ornamentation design etc.so thereore i would like to do hindu art.pls could some one assist me.at this moment its the thought process that count's then after 3 months we actually start our thesis but we have to start research now.help needed pls.

Well, why don't you research the history of the development of your religion's designs? Or look at how contemporary graphic designers are incorporating them into their work? Once you've read up on the subject, you will hopefully have a good idea for a thesis statement for your, well, thesis. Or, if you already know what you want to write on specifically, start outlining the points you want to make to support you position.

Great! Can you look at how art associated with Hinduism is being used on the Internet? Look at websites that really impress you, and see what role is being played by graphic design artists. Could you write, for example, a paper about digitizing the Bhagavad Gita?

As you work on your outline, think of something you can get excited about doing, something you might actually accomplish as a personal project. It might help if it is going to be a digital product that you can sell online. Money is a good motivator!! :) So, get fired up. Get a purpose in mind, like making Hinduis more accessible to the western world. Your thesis statement can be an assertion that digital art is a good way of sharing Hindu art.
