Tell him/her abt ur special habits, hobbies, etc things that he/she should know if you two share one room in a long time. :D

Also, ask him/her some questions (not too personal) and insist he/she answer on his/her reply. ;)

Hope I can help! (:

Yeah, I think your idiosyncracies would be an interesting read.
You could also drop in some hints on your good qualities.

Like if you're a very hardworking person, you could say, 'Can you sleep with lights on? I tend to study till quite late in the night. However, if you can't, I'd gladly move to the library'.

Or you could warn the person that you're quite a neat freak (:

I think it would be quite an interesting read!

Hi, I believe this essay requires you to talk about your personal qualities. Remember that college essays usually wants you to talk about who you are so that the admissions officer can get a glimpse of what kind of person you are. Yup, so you might want to consider writing in that direction.

Hope this helps :D All the best

Tell them about your likes and dislikes. Talk about your hobbies and your family

Pretend that you are writing a questionnaire for your future roommate to fill out. Write down the things that you would want to know about him/her. Then, answer those questions for them. The best essay I saw for this was in a dialogue form. See this thread:

Don't forget, too, that if this is just a general essay for school, you can of course be brutally honest about your shortcomings, which would make the essay more interesting while also making it more useful if it were really going to be read by a potential roommate. If it is a college application essay, though, you will probably want to accentuate the positive.

All of the above ideas are great, but you must remember to also note that in the event there is an issue between the two of you, it will be important for you both to talk about it so that you can resolve the issue before it becomes too big.

talk about how you resolve conflicts
what your intended major is
your "rules"
things you're willing to compromise on
how you feel about living with a stranger essentially
