A letter to my first-year roommate. I have no idea what to talk about.

Topic: Write a letter to your first-year roommate. Tell him or her what it will be like to live with you. What are you looking forward to the most in college?

sounds like Stanford supplement essay. :D I think you should tell your roomie something really unique about you. Find some funny story of you to write. Just show yourself to the adcoms. :D

Keep in mind that the person you are really writing to is the admissions person. So, fulfill the requirement to address a roommate, and put this in the form of a letter, but write about activities that you will want to involve yourself in at the school and also, importantly, about making time for studying.

Spend time researching the school!
