Help with thesis statement on video game addictions

hey i need to write a 8 page essay for sociology and i need to pass in a thesis statement tomorrow on video game addictions, heres what I have so far:

With staggering numbers of increased gamers and amount of time devoted to video
games it is possible that video games could be truly addictive.

can anyone make this better for me or help me make it better?

don't say it is possible in a thesis statement. your thesis statement is an opinion and you should not use indefinate words like possible or likely because they weaken your argument.

The rapidly increasing popularity of video games suggests that it may be appropriate to think of gaming in terms of "addiction."
