exemplification essay for my English class

i got an essay assigned in my english class. english is the class i struggle in the most, im more of a math and science person, well anyways my teacher doesnt really explain much and just gives assignments expecting us to know or figure out the correct way its supposed to be. i was thinking of writing it on global pollution/waste management. using examples like the north american trash vortex. im not sure if i need many examples or just a few. maybe another topic would be better but i cant think of any others...thanks..

Ah, perhaps you could post whatever instructions you were given, so that we have an idea of what the assignment is. An english class would normally focus on analyzing a work of literature, but I guess certain writing classes might give you an open research topic. If that's the case, I see no reason why you shouldn't write on global pollution, if that's what interests you.

Hey, where did you learn about the waste management concepts you described. If you read an article about your topic, you can look closely for examples. Cite the article in your essay, and use its examples.

Also, you might want to read 3 articles about issues that would work for this assignment, and choose the article that you are most inspired by. Write about the same stuff written about in the article, and then find another article about the same concept. It should be easy, because you are just telling about what other people have already expounded.
