competency goal statement / Professionalism Early Childhood Education

I have written out my general statement, or GOAL, but could you explain what the objectives are and how they are suppose to be written out?

It says they are examples of what I do to maintain a commitment to professionalism and then she gave some general ideas about professionalism but said they are not objeectives.

then states what do I do in each of the areas to maintain professionalism.

The ideas were
Keeping current in the field
current education
explaining early childhood ed. to others
collaboration with other staff
Parents
confidentiality
Self Evaluation
Attitude/work ethic
I think I understand
Does she mean that I have to figure out something I do within that area, and How do I type up the objectives?

Hmmm . . . maybe its just me, but I'm not quite sure what you want here. Your objectives are generally the things you hope to achieve. This would seem to be the sort of thing you have to come up with on your own. After all, only you know what you hope to accomplish in pursing a career in early childhood education.

In teacher education, they make a big distinction between goals and objectives, using the terms in a much more specialized sense. Furthermore, I've noticed some variance in that specialized usage. My advice would be to seek clarification from your adviser or a professor as to how your school in particular conceptualizes the difference between goals and objectives.
