I have to complete an analytical essay for the hypothesis 'It is when teenagers have to confront the influences and pressures placed on them, that they have to make difficult choices. This challenging process can help them to discover, and embrace, their own unique identity. I was wandering if you could help me get started, i find that the first paragraph is the hardest and once i get started i can just power through it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
It is best to take a piece of scrap paper and plan out your paragraphs and work backwards. Try and think of three items why teenagers make difficult decisions when faced with pressure.
I think you should write down some ideas as to what issues that will put a teen under pressure. Once you get a few of those down you can elaborate on each one

You could start by talking about mental health disorders. ADHD, shyness.
I am not sure if you have started an essay, and are not sure about how to introduce it, or have not started one yet.
How about start off by stating something about how kids are more pressured to fit in. More groups or clicks of friends. Peer pressure?
You can talk about how society labels everybody, starting at a young age. How this can influence those children in the future. Technological advances has stunned the mental development of children/teenagers due to the flow of unnecessary information. Ex: Social Media, Youtube. (Not sure if that considered social).
